Wild Wheels
This weekend there was a car show nearby... so far be it for us to miss it! It was a combination of old classics and tuners, which made it pretty interesting. This is an old farm truck the boys both really liked.
Joshua read a bit of the sign and then decided to tell everyone else around about this "Amphicar" that can drive in the water. "See! It shows it in the picture right here!!"
Poor Jeremiah was stuck in the stroller, but Josh got to get in this one and even sport the owners sunglasses for the picture.
We've had some some beautiful weather lately, so hopefully we'll be able to get out a do a few more things and enjoy the autumn here.

Progress
Not much news on my car as I am still waiting to hear back on the report from the inspector from our insurance but we do have news on the truck.
When the truck was getting hooked up to be towed the driver mentioned to Phil that there had been instances of problematic gasoline in our area. It was the first we had heard about it. We had done some reading about it and the signs seemed to line up with our trucks problems. Today we found out for certain that our truck had fuel with a too high ethanol level in it. Here's the most recent article I could find about the fuel problem. This is what made it respond out of character when Phil accelerated. Unfortunately for our insurance company who is already eating the results of my car mishap and the cost to tow the truck, they'll now be dishing out the money for this truck repair as well. What is unfortunate for them is definitely to our advantage! So now we can relax a bit and sit back and wait for everything to pan out and get fixed.

Stillen
Alright, let's start at the beginning. Our first day in southern California we were able to visit the Stillen headquarters. Here's what Phil had to say about it to some car friends of his:
"Kyle Millen is great! Showed up while he was in a meeting and he took and broke away from the meeting to be able to show myself and the family (which I was even more grateful for with his tolerance of my two little boys) around the place. I could go in to detail about the pallets of exhaust components and the cage specific for assembling the superchargers for all the models they service and so on... I was really impressed. Had some amazing vehicles sitting in there too! Kids were able to climb in to Steve Millen's 300ZX and I was even given the opportunity to climb in to his Ford GT (Amazing car!!!). And speaking of Mr. Millen, I even had the opportunity to shake the man's hand."
This is the 300ZX. Both boys got to get in!
The Ford GT Phil was able to try on for size... It's definitely a size small!
And the car all of the guys were drooling over sitting out front. It belongs to Steve Millen. Nissan GT-R.

Kyle Millen (owner's son) who showed us all around the place and one of their project Titans.
